Let’s all be honest for a minute: it’s not easy to gain complete control over your business and personal finances! It can be tough to stay on top of payments and account balances. Or, that’s what I thought before I took a deep dive into the web and discovered – shocker – there’s an app for that. Believe it or not, apps can actually keep track of and manage payments for different credit card brands.
In my quest to discover the perfect credit card management app – something that would help me stay on top of all my payments and card balances – I discovered a mobile app website called AppGrooves. They provide a top 10 list for a bunch of different categories, one of which (to my benefit and hopefully yours as well) is credit card management.
Best 10 Credit Card Apps by AppGrooves
Among their top 10 is where I discovered my personal three favorite apps, which I have listed for you below.
Get Cash Back with Chase Mobile
I was pleasantly surprised to find that Chase has some of the best cash back credit cards on the market, and their app makes it incredibly easy to keep track of your spending and cash back rewards. With a simple swipe-access that really is as simple as it sounds, you can access your balances without having to sign in. You can also use the fingerprint login so you don’t have to fumble with your password. If you’re like me (and every other human alive), you don’t have all the time in the world. Chase makes it easy to manage your credit cards and banking needs, like paying bills or sending money through Zelle, right from the palm of your hand.
While nearly all of its functions work perfectly, I’ve found that Chase Mobile’s current version is having a bit of trouble with mobile deposits. The camera, which is set to automatically take a picture of your check, is taking the picture too early which is resulting in blurry photos. Thankfully, on the plus side, its credit card features still work nicely and there should be an update soon for mobile deposits.
Set Up Credit Score Alerts with Credit Sesame
I don’t know about you, but I’m always trying to ensure my credit score is pristine. With Credit Sesame, I’ve found it’s incredibly convenient to get alerts for any changes in my credit score. There are even personalized tips and tricks so you can learn how to earn a better credit score. Nothing about Credit Sesame is complicated, so from the very beginning, I felt comfortable tracking my credit score thanks to the simple and user-friendly interface. What’s really nice is that you can track multiple accounts without any hassle or confusion.
If you’re looking to improve your credit score or find credit card deals, Credit Sesame is definitely a useful tool. However, ads occasionally pop up while the app is in use. The majority of these ads are credit card offers, which consider actually be a benefit if you’re someone who is in the market for a new card.
Manage All of Your Accounts in One Place with Citi Mobile
With Citi Mobile, you can keep track of all of your Citibank accounts, including credit cards and checking accounts, which is extremely convenient for keeping everything streamlined and in one place. You are also able to log in with your fingerprint, check your FICO score, see an itemized list of your recurring credit card charges, and dispute charges directly from the app – something that very few banking apps offer in my experience. Because I could do everything right from my mobile device, I was able to save a lot of time and resources, which is always a plus for me.
Likely due to its abundance of features, Citi Mobile tended to have trouble connecting to the Citibank servers when I was using a cellular connection. It’s possible you may have to wait a bit longer than you’d expect to connect to your account if you’re not using Wi-Fi. Thankfully, there is Wi-Fi almost everywhere, so I never found this to be a huge issue. And, when everything connects smoothly, Citi Mobile gives you everything you need to manage your cards!
Online banking is fast, easy, and incredibly convenient – at least, that’s the case for me. And now banks are making sure that using their credit cards is just as painless. With a lot of really helpful features like activating and freezing cards, checking credit scores, and tracking long-term spending, I’ve found that these three credit card management apps truly are great for anyone who wants to track their spending and check their balances.
